Africa’s Big Seven (AB7) is the biggest food and beverage expo in Africa; the perfect place to find that special product, its dedicated supplier, at internationally competitive prices, at the right time, all under one roof. AB7 takes place at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand, from 21-23 June 2015.

“Africa’s Big Seven is a powerful, versatile networking platform for discovering new products, finding new suppliers, meeting new customers, and exploring new business opportunities in the global food and beverage industry, ” says John Thomson of Exhibition Management Services, organiser of the show. Last year’s AB7 show had over 400 exhibitors from 44 countries showcasing thousands of products in 3, 000 categories, to over 14 000 visitors from all over the African continent and the world.

“Through sheer volume of goods on display, AB7 has tens of thousands of amazing product items for visitors to discover — and even taste, ” observes Thomson.

Visitors find anything and everything food-related at AB7, including fresh produce, preserved foods, snacks, retail-ready packaged foods, drinks and beverages, flavourings, ingredients, food processing, manufacturing and packaging systems, baking and cooking equipment, hospitality, retail and catering systems and services, Halaal products and services, and much more.

“And every year, many unique and exotic products are shown off by some clever exhibitors, getting everyone talking and causing quite a buzz through the expo halls.”

This massive trade show has been a gateway to African food and beverage markets for 13 years, with companies from 10 African countries exhibiting last year. Other international exhibitors arrived from countries including Brazil, China, Denmark, India, Taiwan and Turkey.

Right Time

AB7’s mid-year time-slot enables visitors and exhibitors to spend the first half-year researching products, suppliers, agents and buyers, using the popular online business matchmaking service. Now is the right time to log on to this great time-saver!

“Our matchmaking facility enables meetings to be pre-arranged with pre-selected suppliers and buyers online, so everyone can devote more time to meetings on each day of the show, ” adds Thomson.

Right Place

AB7 will host some new European pavilions along with its regular national pavilion exhibitors. Belgium, producer of over 800 different types of beer, will host its first national pavilion at this year’s show. Estonia, home to distillers of premium vodka, débuts at AB7 as part of the Russian pavilion. Italy is hosting a major pavilion focused on its advanced food industry technology. Denmark and France will also host major national pavilions, while China and India return to AB7 with their spectacular national pavilions.
